What is Daylight Dermatology?

We are a walk-in clinic that does only one thing—photodynamic therapy (PDT) for acne. PDT (see how it works below) is a non-invasive procedure that is used to treat a number of skin conditions. It has been shown to be highly effective for acne (see References) but is not FDA-approved for treating acne in the United States. This means that it is almost never covered by insurance and is very expensive ($1000 per treatment?) at most clinics that offer it for acne.

The goal of Daylight Dermatology is to provide wider access to this potentially life-changing treatment to people who suffer from acne. We perform PDT for acne and do nothing else. By focusing our resources on this one treatment, we are able to keep overhead costs low and charge patients a fraction of the usual price. You pay out of pocket, so we do not go through insurance, and you do not need any referrals. You also do not need a separate consultation visit before getting the procedure. You don't even need an appointment. You simply walk into clinic and get treated the same day. We believe we are the only clinic in the country that offers this level of convenience and access for acne treatment.
